<SNIP> >As for what GM decides to do or not do... I think we don't really know >what's going on between Detroit and Trollhattan. There *IS* a cash infusion >but it's small by car manufacturer standards and it's all going into product >design and manufacturing for the "new 9-3". Would you rather have them put >out a sub-standard new car and advertise the shit out of it? ;-) <SNIP> Kevin, When you mention design, and how GM is putting money into Saabs design and manufacturing for the "new 9-3". I know and am aware that Michael Mauer, the head of Design at Saab who reports directly to Peter Augustsson is working hard with a team of fine designers over in Sweden and will be working straight till 2004 when some new platforms come out. I personally want to be a part of this over in Sweden at some point soon and that's another reason I am visiting Sweden in about 3 weeks. Having worked at many design firms learning what quality design and good planning can do for us and now working at and independant Saab dealer, I am experiencing all levels of design & engineering put into application at a service level. I would like to be part of the Saab Automobile design team handling the interior and exterior styling at almost any level at this point for Saabs future car models. - Ryan O.
