Subject: 82 900 stalls on left turn under acceleration



I have just purchased a very affordable Saab 900, 1982 model.

One of the reasons it was so affordable is, when turning to the left AND
accelerating, the engine stalls. However, turning to the right with
acceleration does not cause the stall.

One point to note, there seems to be a pronounced vacuum-like sound i.e.
power-steering, emanating from within the cabin whilst turning.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
