Subject: 88 900T pilot bearing removal?

Car: '88 900T, 2.0 Litre engine, manual transmission. OK, I've got my clutch apart, no major problems (article to follow). However, I can't figure out how to get the darn pilot bearing out of the flywheel. Can't get behind it to pry it out, I don't care to take the flywheel off if I don't have to. The only idea I have right now, is to put grease into where the shaft goes, and then force the shaft in, which should push the bearing out under hydraulic pressure. Any suggestions? Will my grease-method work, or is there a better way? Or, am I stuck pulling the flywheel? Dave Hinz
