My 87 9000 turbo did about 32 imp MPG on long trips, and famously (to me at least) did 37 MPG on a slower (never much over 70 mph) 300 mile return home one night! Never drove it around town - too scary in terms of fuel costs! Taking delivery of a 94 (well, an M-plate) 9000 2.3 eco turbo tomorrow - going to be interested to see what it does. regards hugh browton
