Keith, Don & HammerSPG for the info. Id o think the Bentley manual is good but it appears to have made some assumptions as you say. My speedo has the electrical plug referred to earlier but the wire colours didn't seem to tie up with the manual. I'll have to have a closer look in the light of this new guidance. Thanks again.
