I mostly do mixed urban/extra-urban driving and get a consistent 25 MPG out of my 1988 900T (8V). By this, I mean the usual traffic jams on the way to and from work and high-speed top turbo burns once I get "out of the smoke" and onto those lovely moor-top roads. The rest of the time, I drive normally - correct gear, within the green zone on the rev counter, little turbo but only when necessary - and maybe a bit (50-100 miles) of motorway per tank as well. I have achieved just short of 30 MPG on a long motorway stretch (from "Oop North" down to Cornwall, UK) where I got the opportunity to fill up and keep driving until empty. I use 97RON "Super" Unleaded petrol (1 in 3 tanks) and 95RON Unleaded petrol (the other 2 in 3 tanks) normally and 10w40 Castrol Magnatex fully synthetic oil. What sort of MPG statistics do others with similar cars/driving habits get? What are the "real world" comparisions with the newer models, such as the NG900 or early 93 models? Regards, Paul 1988 900T (154,000 miles+)
