I don't know where you are, but I had a cracked windscreen replaced on my 93 9000 CSE by AutoGlass, it was covered by insurance. The new windscreen appears idential to the previous, it is made by Pilkington Glass. I forgot the check the print on the old one, but Pilkington is a very respectable company and I think that car companies buys their glass anyway from such specialist companies rather than making it by themselves. Replacing the windscreen, however, is not a DIY proposition. If done carelessly you get rattles and even air leaks. In my case the operator told me to leave the car stationary for at least 24 hours until the fixing components had cured. I followed his advice. Johannes
