As a motorcyclist myself, I have to say that you should ALWAYS avoid
any vehicle with ANYTHING attached to it, because there is an excellent
chance of it coming off. If these riders were directly behind the car
in question when the incident occurred, they may not be legally at fault,
but they should have known better.
