I had a similar problem in my 1988 Turbo Conv, but it took a little longer for the battery to go dead. We might not use the car for a couple of weeks and when we returned to it the battery was dead. We traced the problem to the alarm systems. According to the manual, the car has two systems. One is shut off using a switch, but the other requires using the ignition switch which is a pain to remember. We decided to use a battery kill switch if we are going to leave the car unused for any more time than a week or two.
