Thank you all for your input. I can send the VIN to Saab and they should be able to give me all the information I need to know about US DOT and EPA requirements. I am also waiting for the shipment quote. I found that my duties will only be 2.5% of the cost for import tax. I will post a follow-up with as much detail as I can as I have found it difficult to find good solid information about importing Saabs into the US from Sweden.
