You do need to remove the rear seat back squab. (We tried to do it without removing the rear seat and it took us far longer before we realised that it had to come out anyway!). It may be coincidence but I know of two other people who's fuel pump gave up, and in both instances the tank was full - I think this has a bearing on the fuel pump failure. Be very careful disconnecting the fuel lines, as the plastic connectors (1 white, 1 black) are easily broken and one of them can't be changed on it's own. Saab (in the UK) only stock the non-return valve connector, and if you break the other one you will need to buy the incorrect one and remove the valve. I think it's that way round. The pump is readily (and much more cheaply) available from independant sources. It may however only be the pump itself and not the housing etc, but it is easy to swap the pumps themselves. -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
