before you reattach it draw an outline so that when you bust one you can get one cut to your pattern. mine fell out after 4 years with silicone holding it in and it was difficult to draw a pattern from the other side mirror due to its being in the housing. i had one cut for $6.00 and used 3m tape the second time around.
