I changed shocks on a 1987 and a 1993 900 last year. You need to buy a cheap open-end wrench to fit the nuts. Memory says it was 5/8 inch. This wrench can be used to hold the lower of the two lock nuts if you modify it: Cut the wrench in half length-wise. Then use a belt sander to thin out the faces of the wrench. Use an extended socket to grab the upper nut. Do not use air wrench on the lower shock mounts. After 14 years of corrosion, the threads on the lower shock mount will not take the stress. You should be able to change both shocks in 1-2 hours. /Bob In article <f3d45bff.0107231546.6902ce68nopsaming.google.com>, garrettt3nopsamphia.net (Garrettt3) wrote: > Anyone have any tips to getting at the nuts on the top of the front > shock on the driverside...The brake resovior and booster(?) make it > hard to get it..Can anything be removed or is it all luck and > tactics...Thanx > 88 900
