Any car has to be maintained and it is usually not cheap. I stretch the service to two years interval, but changes oil, filters & sundry myself in between. My car is in complete mint condition, any slight problem only spoils the enjoyment. At your mileage (150k) it might be tempting to swap for a newer model, say 50k, but chances are that you will have to fork out a couple of grand if the maintenance has been ignored, which just makes matters worse. Depending on other things in life, you'll usually have an idea of how long you want to keep the car. The closer you come to that point, the less you want to spend. Eventually you sell the car to an informed enthusiast who doesn't mind fixing it. And another cycle starts all over again. Am I being philosophical? Johannes
