Can't really help you, but coincidentally after a recent servicing my remote malfunctioned. Brand new batteries, but only intermittently works. Tried 'resetting' it by clicking it five times in close proximity, to no avail. I'm hoping someone can tell me if there's a further diagnostic I can do. In fact, both my remotes are having the same lack of effect, so I suppose the problem is in the receiver, not the transmitter. As for turning the system on without the remote, just use the key! At least on my 96 9000, that activates the alarm. malcolm at home <spamletnopsam.com> wrote in message news:sRL67.179950$v5.16175705nopsam1.rdc1.ct.home.com... > I have a '97 Saab 900 S that is now having problems after the security > remote got a little wet. > I've tried a new battery and I'm now wondering if there is > > a) Any who has had this problem and knows how to fix it themselves > > or > > b) Someone who knows how to turn the alarm system on manually. > > Any help would be great! > > -Keith > >
