Tonite, my friend (the one in the S-Type) decided to have a little "Race." Actually, it was going back to his place from a restaurant. Knowing him all too well, I know he'd try to out maneuver me and out run me. DAMN.... We peaked at at least 130 mph. The 9-5 Aero kept pace with the S-Type 4.0 just perfectly. Didn't even skip a beat. For some reason, he thought he could lose me. We were doing some tight curves at some hefty speeds (not recommended for most people) and I noticed his car somewhat lose traction. Assuming that I was going the same speed as he was, the Aero will out corner the S-Type 4.0. Got back to his place... And I was screaming at him.. "What the F**k were you trying to do!!!" He responds, "I just wanted to see what your car was made of." I should have ripped him a new one. Something about the male ego that makes you wanna slap him or something. HAHAHAH > Oh...I've love to! But, I've got other plans. Darn. > Hey, I've been meaning to ask you, is your car a standard? What do you mean by "Standard?" I haven't modified my car in anyways -- exhausts, etc. The only thing I've done to my car was add the spoiler. >> By the way, Cadillac is launching the new CTS!! http://www.2003cts.com > I can feel your excitement. :) OH YEAH!!!! It looks like an impressive sport sedan. I wonder how much HP Cadillac decided to put in that thing. And hopefully, it feels as solid as comparable European makes. >> The 9-5's have 2 types of spoilers: the bridge spoiler and the >> pedastal. I've got the pedestal. The other one looks too square. > I don't go for the square boxy shape either. YUP!!!! >> Is that the same Days Inn that's now unoccupied?? Near the Navy Pier?? > Nope, it actually was on the outskirts of town. Aaaaahhh.... I *LOVE* travelling for business. I get to stay in some of the NICEST hotels. I remember going to Austin, TX one. I was put in a Clarion. Standard hotel right?? I got a SUITE.... $95/nite. AMAZING!!! The company put me up in the Helmsley Hotel in NY. >> OOOOOOHHHHHH?????? Maybe it's because my grandfather was head chef of a >> SF restaurant. > Whoa!! > So did he teach you how to cook? He passed away when I was 2 yrs old. But my aunts and my parents taught me how to cook. I have a natural knack for cooking. I love cooking. What's really weird tho is that all my buddies from college enjoyed cooking. I thought (and still think) that's pretty uncommon. I mean.. We were more than just cracking open a can or something. Flat out fresh ingredients to cook. I mean some of the meal we ended up doing... I remember one of the last meals I did was lamb in a zinfandel marinade. It was usually a Sunday nite -- right before FOX Sunday nite (Simpsons, X-Files, etc). We'd cook something and polish off a case of beer. HAHA -- Marc Escuro mgescuronopsam.com http://home.att.net/~bryesquire "...when all hope is gone, you know sad songs say so much..."
