Black pudding doesn't need to be protected. It PROVIDES the protection. I've eaten the stuff, and if anything builds up your strength, it does. In addition, well-done black pudding can be used as a weapon. And I still think "wings" is an absurd term for the fenders of a car, even a Saab.
