Turbo's are the motors to get. They are very reliable. Check out the high mileage cars at www.saabnet.com. The turbo itself is not an issue as long as you change your oil regularly. The 9-3 manual tranny has had a couple of issues that I've seen over the last year or so. Thanks for >input in advance. The current 9-3 line is very mature and has few known issues that Saab has not resolved. I'd recommend getting a 9-3 now rather than waiting as Saab is introducing a replacement car this year. The new model will need to be sorted out for a couple of years before it's stable. You can also cut some great deals on a 9-3 right now as Saab does not want them left over when the new models arrive.
