Just to say that it has been fun lurking here. Everybody seems knowledgeable, but certainly many have different opinions. That's what these forums are for though. I have an 88 900S with 125K. Lots of little problems creeping up, but my big one is the air conditioner. It doesn't work. My Saab mechanic says that the a/c hose I need is $600, plus labor...also, no power getting to the compressor, and may have more leaks if they fix all that. Plus the freone (sp) I'm at around $1400, with no guarantee of success I have seen the sites to purchase SAAB parts, at a lot lower price than I've been quoted. The hose I think I need is about $240 on line. Are Saab air conditioners that tricky, or could most shops that repair air conditioners handle the above. Thanks for any input Art
