Every other gear works just fine but I cannot get into 5th. I push it into that gear and it feels like its in (And it won't go any further) but when I start to release the clutch, there's a little grind and it pops right back out. If I'm sitting still, I can engage 5th just fine and I can tell that it's catching, but if I'm on the freeway, I just can't get it to take. This doesn't seem too logical to me because 1st, 3rd, and Reverse are usually the ones to go . Anyone got any crazy ideas? Or am I looking at a tranny rebuild? This is a fresh transmission that was just recently installed (and luckily is still under warranty) Thanks! Ben (83 900S, 87 SPG)
