Hmmmm. Interesting. I would love to know what speed you are doing to drown out the stereo! I luve in the UK and regularly drive around Europe, taking best advantage of the Autobahns in Germany - thus I can often clock up 130mph+ and have never had that problem. My 2000 9-3SE Convertible is rock solid, and even with the roof down the stereo still pumps out plenty of volume even at around 100mph. No I don't have a wind deflector, and no, that is not after putting the windows up - 100mph, roof down, windows down, cruise control on!. As for the speed dependant stereo, mine adjusts up and down at around 37-40mph, and again at 67-70mph, and is quite adequate. BTW - this is with the standard Saab CD Head unit, and four speakers - would love the audio upgrade, but can't quite be bothered to go that far - the standard fit is quite adequate, though the mid-range is a little muddy. Just my 10%. H. PS - If I remember rightly (haven't got the manual to hand) you can adjust the range of the speed dependant volume thingy - IE so that it boosts the volume by larger increments.
