Just drove a 2000 vet , my old Saab died mysteriously in the driveway.(battery I think, just went pop) anyways I was running to a wedding and couldn't get the car out of the driveway to get the wife's(one car driveway!). Asked a neighbor if I could borrow a ride and make it to the wedding. Made it on time , Got lost on the way home! So here is the deal, The Vet did handle well and the v8 made me want to just stomp on it all the time. (my wife kept covering her eyes so I guess I shouldn't get one) bottom line My 1993 Saab 9000 Aero with only 109,000 miles young, feels just as fast. The vet was an automatic and I left the traction control on but when I stomped on it from a standstill or on the highway I didn't feel a whole lot more powerful than the Saab. It is great to drive other cars to get perspective, I drove a BMW 540 last year and you could keep that car too. So for now I will keep the Saab for a while longer. As I told my wife part of the charm of this car is they don't make it any more. I think I would love a new 95 have not driven one, I think the build quality is better than the old days. I certainly will not replace it with a vet.
