It will last a few years. I used this technique on my '86 Saab 900. The aluminum screen/fiberglas filled Bondo patch would hold, but the rust would spread to other places. The first time I did the job, I did it as you described, going for a "perfect" job. After awhile I thought more of my health and lungs and did only minimal sanding. The Bondo/fiberglass dust is not something you want to be around too much - even with a mask. > > > Bob
