Subject: My First Saab Problem

Hello All, First time poster. Ok, I bought a '95 900 SE V6 4dr with 61,735 miles about a month ago. Other than the ruff idling when I start it up in the morning and the very rare occasion that while accelerating the car experiences a very short (half second) loss of power I am very happy with the car ( best car I've ever owned). But this monring I go out to go to work get in the car, turn the ignition to ON, wait for the computer screen to say CHECK OK and finish the ignition sequence except the car doesn't start. NOTHING!!! My very first thought... "the battery is dead", but the radio worked the computer checked... not the battery. I began to panic again i went through the ignition sequence CHECK OK, again nothing happened. I should mention at this point that the day before when I started the car I was greeted with three dinging noises and the message COOLANT LEVEL LOW, which I remedied proptly. So the third time I tried to start the car I turned the ignition all the way over to START ant the car fired! It idled quiet ruff for some time longer than normal but it smoothed out and everything seemed fine afterward. When I got to work (a 12 minute drive) and turned the car off, I tried to start it again going through the check and all, it started fine. I am curious if the car will do this again tomorrow and scar the $H!+ out of me again. Short story of how I got the car. I work at a very large auto dealer in Tennessee (we don't see many Saabs), and another salesman was selling the car (he wanted an Audi TT). So I got my sales manager (who drives a '99 Porche 911 Carrera) to buy the Saab, then I got him to load-up in my paid for trade-in, a '97 Nissan Sentra GXE with 59,222 miles, so I could trade even! Man an I happy with that, I traded a car actually worth $6,500 for a car worth $13,720 and still do not owe a cent. It's great to be in the car buisness. Matthew P Schenck, another happy Saab owner.
