Not that I should need to justify *anything* to you after a comment like that, but perhaps it would occur to you that, if there's no problems, then why bother to change them? Am I supposed to change tires "just because", even though they don't leak and still have plenty of tread? Am I supposed to change brake pads at certain intervals, even though there's plenty of material left on them? Oh - and those balljoints, they've got 200,000+ miles on them, but don't rattle. Should I change those too, to avoid being labeled as "cheap" by the likes of you? Gosh - that starter, it's started the car thousands of times, better swap it out before it shows any signs of problems. The clutch went 200K miles before it needed replacement. The O2 sensor is original. Both of these are probably well beyond their design life, so I am cheap for not replacing them to keep *you* happy? I don't think so. In any case, you are certainly free not to buy a used car from me in the future; I'm guessing that neither of us would enjoy dealing with each other.
