I don't think so, the only thing I've noticed is basically that it's not very good ! It *was* handy in the snow last year, but other than that I'd prefer to turn it off. If I go over a bump with the back wheel or something like that, such that it's got no traction, I can immediately feel the engine cut out, and then re-engage almost instantly, which causes a strange lurching type affair.
