Subject: Re: 1986 900S Fuel Pump Relay? Where is it?

LH ECU is the fuel injection computer. On your car is it a Bosch LH 2.2 (Luft Hitzdraht) electronic control unit Make sure that it is working correctly. There should be 12V on the socket hole for the tab #30 (at all times). Try shorting with a short piece of wire between 30 and 87B of the fuel pump relay. IIRC, the fuel pump relay has a connection to 87B (not 87A) and the LH ecu relay has a connection to 87A and not 87B. If you are able to get it to run with this jumper, it may be the LH ecu which is at fault. Also you could verify if there is continuity from the relay 87B to the fuse and then from the fuse to the fuel pump. The fuse-fuel pump link can be verified with a jumper to 12V. If the pump runs, it is either the LH ecu or one of the other wires is not making good connection. On the outside chance, check to make sure that the ground on the head is good and clean and ALL of the wires are connected to ground. The link will give a bit more information.
