Subject: blown head gasket??? water leaking from turbo?

Hi, Got a '91 9000cs 2.3t and am getting lots of white steam out the exhaust some times at startup (and sometimes not). Losing coolant, but not oil and both oil and coolant don't seem cross contaminated. Saab garage say it's the head gasket ... and if it is it's their responsibility because they've changed it twice in the last 6 months ... but they say there is a possibility that it's something else and if so it's my possibility ... now ... other than the head being warped, the block being warped(!) or a blown gasket what else could cause this phenomenon? I can see coolant seeping out between the outlet manifold bolted onto the side of the block, and the connection with the turbo ... seemingly indicating that coolant is getting into the cylinders and then being forced out of this gap in the exhaust ( and presumable through the turbo and out the back too), The turbo on the 9000 is water cooled (although not inter-cooled I believe) ... is it possible that there is some sort of water leak in the turbo itself which is forcing water both out the exhaust and also up towards the exhaust manifold (and hence out of the joint between the turbo and outlet manifold)? Sometimes the turbo makes a noticeable kind of buzzing noise ... and there is a crack in it's casing ... although I get no perceptible decrease in performance. Any ideas anyone? Regards, Gary Cook.
