I'm not sure what the new colors are, but that might be a deciding factor (2001 colors are red, black, and steel grey). There haven't been many deals on Viggens, but there should be some leeway at the end of the model year. The rims are supposedly a problem, as many people have bent them. However, I haven't, but I keep the pressure fairly high (36+ psi). I've only had my Viggen for about 7,000 miles. The only problem I have is a 3rd gear that is hard to get out of gear and a 4th gear that's hard to get into gear. Supposedly this is a known problem for some Saab tranmissions that I plan to have remedied at the 10k check up.
