Subject: Re: Does anyone use synthetic oils?

All my vehicles and even the lawn mower is on synthetic to prolong life! 1979 928 1984 944 1978 924 1988 Buick Reatta 1988 Buick Riveria 1997 Yamaha V-twin Virago motorcycle (w/wet clutch) 1998 Briggs-Stratton 4-cycle 3.5 HP lawn mower Seriously, being a former mechanic, synthetic is just plain better than regular petroleum based lubricants. All the vehicles listed above I have changed over. I have noticed a difference with the older vehicles in oil pressure being higher even under extreme summer heat and city driving. Some vehicles run slightly cooler (the 924 & 944) than before and the 928 has lower mechcanical noise in the overhead valvetrain. I use nothing but synthetic or even synthetic-blend if I have to.
