To answer the subject question. Yes. My experience with mobil 1 is that it can leak through seals on cars with several years of milage on regular oils. When i change the oil it's still as dirty as when I had conventional oil in the engine. no oil can turn back the clock or improve an engines mechinics. All it can do is remain stable for longer and provide the protection against wear that you need. I've switched to redline and I'll stick to it simply out of ignorance. I don't know that it'll help maintain and prolong the life of my engine, but.....
