I just purchased a 95' Saab 900SE convertible with a 2.5l V6. After purchasing the car I noticed that the ABS light would come on when the outside temperature dropped below 70 degrees fahrenheit. The brakes don't seem to be affected, but if the cruise controll happens to be engaged it gets reset and I have to turn it back on. Sometimes the traction controll light will come on too. I've taken it to the dealer 3 times now and they haven't been able to pull any codes from the car's computer. They have no idea what the problem is. I tried replaceing the brake fluid, and I ordered a new set of brake pads. I inspected the wheel speed sensors and they don't appear to be dirty or anything. I called an out of state dealer and talked to a tech who told me that on the 95' and 96' 900s they had a problem with the ABS ECU and that I might try replaceing that part. Saab wants $900 for that part and I can get a good used one for $200. I still think that is a little much to spend without being certain what is wrong. - Jason Garland jgarland79 at yahoo dot com
