Is the Bellevue dealer any better? Having just bought a Saab from Carter ('96 9000), they rock! Especially from the sales side -- essentially a no pressure operation (here's the keys, go and have a good time. That was about the extent of the sales pressure from them. That being said, the best Saab mechanic here in town by all accounts is ScanWest Autosport: Scanwest Autosport 9520 Greenwood Avenue 206/789.2819 Serious Saabheads. Our one experience with them has been great (DI cassette crapped out.) When we bought our Saab, we had Scanwest give it a survey for us. They found a couple or two minor nits they didn't like. When it came time for dickering price and we raised the couple of nits during the dickering session, they called in the service manager for what amounted to "why didn't *we* find these problems when we took the car in?" And knocked down the price. Carter will loan you a new VW Beetle when your car (bought from them or regularly serviced by them for some amount of time) is in hospital. Scanwest will loan you an older and more funky Saab. I gotta say tho' that I like the new Beetle. It's a well thought out car. Especially in electric blue. But...I'd say either Carter or Scanwest will do good by you. Nicholas Carey ncareynopsamkeasy.org
