So moron that I was, I cut a corner in my parking garage once and scraped the hell out of the right rear quarter panel. The guys at the Carter Body Shop did a very good job replacing it (it's all one part) --- my brother-in-law sells Nissans and actually commented on it when he saw it. As for dealing, when I got my 9-3 ragtop, they were more than willing to deal, as they had a bunch and wanted to move 'em. My guess is they're like any other dealer: when they know they can move inventory, they won't move much on the price. When they're not moving inventory, they'll move on price. I've also heard good things about Barrier, but it's in Bellevue which can be painful to get to at times. Barrier also sells more premium cars (such as Porche) and thus you'll probably not get a good deal on repair price. If it's out-of-pocket expense (vs insurance), you may look in the phone book for some Saab repair shops in Ballard (near where Carter is). Ballard has a large population of Scandanavian types and thus Scandanavian cars and repair shops that do good work for less than book pricing. -e -- Erik Selberg "I get by with a little help speednopsamashington.edu from my friends." http://www.cs.washington.edu/homes/selberg
