To each his > own. A 10 year old car is going to be less complex than a 3 year old car. The problems will be different, the mechanical components on the 10 year car will start to show their age. The fancy electrical devices on the 3 year old car will start to have problems - and if they just happen to be part of the multi mode automatic transmission the car may not move. In all fairness, the fancy electrical stuff on the 10 year car already stopped working - so when we "classic" guys buy a previously owned 1990 Classic, we don't care if the cruise control does not work. We don't want cruise control and would never use it in a Classic with a manual transmission anyway. "Classic" guys and gals want a car, not a rolling platform for electronic bells and whistles. You can keep the airbags, ABS and power windows/locks. My 1986 900 had crank windows, no ABS and no airbags. > > > Bob
