Subject: Vibration when held on the foot brake (9000 CSE 2.3 lpt '95)

Dear list readers - I have recently acquired a '95 9000 CSE 2.3 lpt auto. (Apart from the problem below I hope it's a good deal - '95 and 21500 miles! I'll add that every year from now on!) When I hold the car, at traffic lights say, there is a great deal of vibration in the car - not wild, but as if a rough tick-over is coming through from the engine to the car body. The garage I bought it from (who know SAABs well - deal solely in them) have looked at the engine mounts and can find no problem, they replaced the exhaust central section which may have had a loose baffle, but are unable to cure the problem further. It's slightly worse when on a slope pointing downhill, and slightly better in the other orientation. As soon as I move off everything is fine and smooth. Any ideas, please?
