I have owned two saabs and never will i buy one again. one i bought with a little over 100k miles on the odo and the engine blew after owning it for 6 months. i decided to be safe with the second one, so i decided to get a great looking 98 900 turbo with a little over 50k on the odo (with service history, mind you). my biggest financial mistake to date. after two new batteries, it still wont start in the winter without treating the car like a diesel, ive been stranded on the side of the road 6 times with this car, ive had to rebuild the transmission, get new bearings installed in the turbo, and to top it all off i just found out the car doesnt have a clear coat. i think the manufacturer would have made it easier just to put a vending machine dollar slot next to the key (insert a 20 everytime you want to start the car). to top it all off, i have owned this car for less than a year. i disagree when you put saab in the same class as mercedes and bmw. saab, according to me, fits in more with the volvo subaru crowd.
