Hi all, I need some more free help. 1. The dealer fixed the airconditioning smell (the sweet smell is still there but not nearly so bad now). The trouble is, after I got my car back, the external temperature sensor is going way too high (the engine temp reads normal BTW). It read normally before the aircon was "fixed" but now gets up to 45 degrees centigrade when driving around town. It appears OK when on the open road. Anyone know what the story might be? 2. OK so I figured out from my first tank of gas (and the advice of Kelvin Wright from Dunedin) that the car prefers 96 octane fuel over 91. For my first tank on 91 I got only 7.2km per litre (a lousy 61.9 litres to travel only 448kms). The second tank of 96 doesn't seem to be much better, but I'll confirm that next time I fill up. The car is an auto 2.3 low pressure ECO turbo which is supposed to be economical. My last car (a 2.0 fuel injected Galant) always got more than 10km per litre. Can anyone tell me what sort of fuel economy I should expect? I should also mention that my wife and I have driven the car very gently since we bought it just over three weeks ago. Thanks for your advice guys! -- Grand Poobah 1996 9000CS 143km
