check out this page of listings on saabnet for a bunch of used convertibles for sale: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/class/convertibles.html and sold: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/class/900pclass.html while there are a few '95s listed for under 10k, there are also some (SEs) for around 16k. Keep in mind the prices listed are 'asking price' and could include quite a bit of wishful thinking. At rate, whether buying from a friend or not, you should make a firm offer that you think is reasonable and makes sense to you financially (keep in mind that you could have some additional expenses -- a cd player would be nice! -- and the possibility of unforeseen mechanical problems). IMHO, 11k seems quite fair, but I'd bid firm at 10k... and then splash out for a BIG night on the town w/ friend and convertible! -marc ps. a dealer would probably take that car as a trade-in for 8.5 -- 9.5k Susanmarine <susanmarinenopsamcom> wrote in message news:20011021135343.18442.00000433nopsamf.aol.com... > Hi saab fans, > > I am about to bid on a '95 900 S convertible in excellent condition (inside > and out), but I am a little unsure about the value I am getting.
