This is a gearing issue. Skidpad: .87g. Sounds like the Supra might have the better of it here, except C&D changed their skidpad testing methods some time ago. (Csere, IIRC, wrote a column about it). So far the cars look identical, but... The 'Vette has a demonstrated edge over the Supra in competition and in real-world (e.g. One Lap) use. The Z06 thrashes the Supra Twin Turbo while costing les, adjusted for inflation. Don't get me wrong. I like the Supra well enough - but the people who could actually afford them chose not to buy them. Without the movie "Fast and Furious", the Supra would be long-forgotten. Plus, it really is ugly. At least the Supra prior to that had *presence*, it looked like a sharp-edge 928.
