If you've never been before you'll enjoy several hours there on a good day. People that buy on the Wednesday and find a problem with the car often throw them through again on the Friday. Tip: Don't take any money if you haven't been before! Auction fever is a terrible thing. I've bought several cars there (and in Frimley, where they started - incidently they've been ADT auctions for years), and once bought a quite nice looking Jaguar 2.9 manual by mistake (I wanted an auto and assumed it would be). When I went out to the car afterwards I was nervous as hell - took it for a drive down the motorway and worried about oil pressure and everything. Left it in the Auction car park for a week before deciding to keep it rather than re entering it. Turned out to be one of the most reliable and cheap to run cars I've owned. In two years all it needed during that time was a starter motor rebuild, and it returned 30+mpg. It also had better AC than Saabs I've driven. With 3 halls (I call them the good, the bad, and the ugly) dividing cars into - nearly new, with warranty - a bit older with perhaps no history or way of guranteeing the mileage, and the pit's where some real dogs go through, but also some great cars - My Jag was in the cheapest hall, went for £1900 and I sold it there nearly two years later for £2200. I've bought a car there for £27! Good luck. -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) http://www.dannyscoffee.com (UK advert for my mobile espresso service) swap Z for above characters in email address to reply
