I'm kinda new to Saab. My 89 900 5speed has developed a shifter problem where it is harder to find 1st gear than it should be, and now I can't make it go into reverse at all. It is not a clutch problem. This car has well over 200,000 miles on it, so it's "gone through the gears" more than a few times. The console itself seems to move a little, so that may be the problem. Of course, to remove the console for inspection, you must remove the KEY, which means it must BE IN REVERSE which is WHERE I CAN'T GET IT . Dang. Any experts or amatuers out there with any helpful input? Thanks. Steve
