I drove a classic 900 with manual windows (I miss them) for 16 years. It developed a bad case of rust in the front fenders because of too much fun in the snow and ice. I bought a new 900S with power windows, sunroof, leather, and the 16V engine. They handle the same, I would get a classic 900 again. I was actually thinking about the NG900s and in the test drive I noticed two things: it did not sound like a Saab - you need that optional sport exhaust and the visibility was horrible - the pillars were thicker. In walking around the NG900 I noticed the hatchback floor had a big lip - for additional body strength probably, but it made it impossible to SLIDE heavy loads in and out of the car. This last point is very important if you have a bad back or you are getting older :-(
