Get the C900. I had a '96 NG900SET and sold it after a year. It was quiet, more refined (had more goodies), but had a terrible cable clutch, it had poor (almost Japanese car - low) seating position (less comfortable), clunky front suspension. This was after 50,000 mi! The weak points of the NG900: Front suspension (clunking noises, quickly worn out mcpherson strut top bearings and other associated support) does not handle as well as C900 IMO cable clutch (auto adjusting cable does not work right - replaced with hydraulic in the 9^3) Clutch replacement requires a WELL equipped shop (dealer for most)! early ones will require replacement of the shift linkage with later model linkage. Sometimes done by Saab under warranty. less stoage capacity in the compromised boot less comfortable seats automatic climate control can be flakey (replaced 2 times on my '96) dash info display can loose pixels DO NOT GET THE V6 unless you like replacing the timing belt every 30,000 mi strong points of the NG900 Smoother engine and better (trionic) engine management for better fuel efficiency and drivability in the US most had Automatic climate control which is nice when it works quieter stronger 5 sp transmission than C900 integrated systems (info display, ACC, cruise, etc) The high line late model C900's had more creature comforts. In addition, you can add some of the features from parts (power windows, mirrors, memory seats(got one I my c900), etc) from used parts as the late model cars shared much with the 9000's as well. $0.02 KeithG "A.
