No, this is a known problem with the sensors on mid-90's saabs. I have the same problem on my '93 9KCS. After taking it to the dealer 2x when I first bought the car, and costing me $80 each time, I was told that the only way to prevent it was to completely replace the sensor but that leaving it as is would not have an effect on the function of the air-bag. BTW: when they "fixed" it, they basically cleaned the electrical contacts and put some dielectric grease on it.
