Subject: radiator fans not running

Hello everyone, I have a 1989 Saab 900S. I've noticed recently that engine temperature is running higher than normal. I've also noticed that I don't hear the radiator fans running (there are two of them mounted right against the inside of the radiator). I tested each one by connecting them directly to the battery and they run fine. I also checked to make sure the fuses for the radiator fan and relay are ok (they are fine). Could the problem be a temperature sensor somewhere? I noticed what looks to be a temperature sensing device of some sort screwed into the top of the radiator (it's round, has two terminals coming out of the back and two wires connected to these terminals). The marking on it is BEHR T. Could this be the culprit? If so, is it easy to replace on my own? Where would I get one? Any other suggestions? Thanks, .... David
