All you need to go to the auto parts shop and for about $4-$12 you can buy a ratchet extension that kind of looks like a spring. The thing bends so you can stick it through the hole to tighten the o-ring. Works like a charm - best money I've ever spent on a tool. I've since employed it for many other situations. Don't know what the technical term for it is but they are actually a fairly common item at the local parts shop (a real one though - I'm not to sure about VIP or Pep Boys or anything like that) Good luck!
