My '93 9000 CSE was plagued with many defects. The most irratating was the ACC (climate control) even on manual override it was uncontrollable. Found myself blindly buying a replacement '96 9000 CSE thinking the '93 was an exception. The '96 is just as "possessed" re:ACC, and the automatic transmission has been replaced SEVERAL times and is still abysmal. Is the car you are considering Manual trans.? If so, I'd be more inclined to go with it. For all the prospective problems you may encounter, it is still a good car if you don't have to pay near sticker and weed out what you can in problems from new. Check Edmonds.com and do a check on the "TSB" issues, try to determine if previous ownership addressed the issues. Good luck.
