Subject: Automatic Transmission Problem and advice

I have a 1988 900S Automatic recently restored (headliner, dash, seats, custom floor mats and such), that decided not to shift properly last Sunday. Saturday, the car drove fine, in fact it never displayed any transmission problems. Woke up Sunday, and it fails to shift from first to second. The car actually locks, when it tries to shift into second. Is this a kick-down cable, governor type problem, or clutch pressure issue? It seems so strange that on Saturday, no problems then Sunday it doesn't shift. Any advice you could give would be appreciated. -Kyle themoz(at)wi.rr.com
