Subject: 9-5 running cost/reliability ?

I'm on the verge of buying one of these. The regular servicing costs & consumables seem reasonable, but what's bothering me is that there's a lot of expensive parts on such a car (turbo, engine management modules, abs modules (1000 ukp for a replacement on my supposedly reliable mazda), etc..); if/when these break it's going to be expensive, so how often does this happen ? Personally, I think a car like this should go for 10 years (100-150k) without major faults, but I'm probably just dreaming ! So, is this a reliable car, or am I going to be constantly forking out for repairs ? For instance, I vaguely reacall a thread sometime back re. replacing brake discs & rotors (presumably the abs sensor things) at some ridiculously low mileage (20k?). To an enthusiast that may not be an issue, but I think it's ridiculous ! OK, maybe not the right ng for a saab critique, but I reckon saab enthusiasts will know more than most about such things :) So come on, am I going to be constantly opening the wallet or not ? g. (in the UK).
